Built by a dentist, not a tech bro

AIDoctorNotes was founded by Blane Jackson, DDS/MBA. Before this, Blane owned and operated eight dental practices across Arizona — Mesa General, Canyon Vista, River's Edge, and five others. He sold the group in early 2026.

Years of writing dental SOAP notes at 9pm, using AI scribes trained on hospital medicine and watching them fumble CDT codes, made the gap obvious. AIDoctorNotes is what he wished he'd had in the operatory.

This product is built by a clinician. It acts like one.

The founder story

During all those years of practice, one thing never stopped being a problem: documentation. Generic EHR templates were clunky. Voice dictation was wrong half the time on dental terminology. The newer AI scribes that started showing up were built for hospital-medicine conversations and confused every time a hygienist mentioned a 5-mm pocket depth.

AIDoctorNotes is the tool Blane wished he had at 9pm on a Thursday, closing out thirty progress notes after a long operative day. It understands perio charts. It formats treatment plans with phasing. It speaks CDT. It also supports therapy, nursing, and primary-care formats — because most multi-location practices have clinicians working across those needs.

What makes AIDoctorNotes different

• We know SOAP notes from the inside — product decisions are informed by operating dental practices and reviewing real documentation workflows, not a focus-group approximation.
• We ran multi-location practices — eight offices meant real payroll, insurance submissions, and associate-dentist onboarding. AIDoctorNotes is shaped by what a practice owner needs.
• Security review before rollout — the product is designed around isolation, access control, and auditability, but each practice should review the live deployment, BAA path, and workflow fit before treating it as a production PHI system.
• Dental-first, but not dental-only — CDT codes, perio measurements, ortho adjustments, and treatment phasing handled natively, with therapy, nursing, and primary-care formats supported.

Where we are today

AIDoctorNotes is early. We are deliberately not claiming fake user counts or fabricated testimonials — those will surface as we earn real ones from paying customers.
